Dune care group which now focuses on replanting coastal areas.

Bermagui Dune  Care reformed in 2003 to focus on the removal of sea spurge from local beaches. With the Far South Coast Weeds Project relieving the group of that job, we have been replanting two areas, near Baragoot Swamp and at Cuttagee Point. We also meet once a year with NPWS in Mimosa Rocks NP for planting. We are only a small group but we are making progress in revegetating parts of the coast near Bermagui.

We meet on the third Sunday of each month from February to November inclusive, from 9 am to 10.30 am.

Projects

Once a year, Bermagui Dune Care meets with NPWS to undertake planting in Mimosa Rocks National Park to revegetate past grazing land.

An unused area, where the road used to exist, is being replanted.

Revegetating a degraded headland.
