Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services for an opportunity to visit a Travelling Stock Reserve (TSR) showcasing our region's endangered Purple Copper Butterfly.

Found in the Central Tablelands region between Bathurst, Lithgow and Oberon above 850 metres elevation, the unique Purple Copper Butterfly has a very special relationship with a specific plant, Native Blackthorn, and a species of small black ant.

Come along to learn more about this endangered species and efforts through the Saving Our Species (SOS) program to help protect this butterfly and its important habitat.

Bring your camera to capture some photos opportunities of the Purple Copper Butterfly and participate in monitoring and citizen science activities on the day.

This is a free and catered event.
