Improving Biodiversity in the region.
Eastern Riverina Landcare has a huge interest in improving the biodiversity of the region and has had many field days and working bees to help education the local community on the importance of locally endemic habitat.
Eastern Riverina Landcare has been involved in many projects to improve the biodiversity of the region. This type of work has been going on over many years. Some of the events include: Removal of barbed wire to improve Squirrel Glider habitat, Partnering with Birdlife Australia in the Birds on Farm program, Construction and installation of nest boxes, National Tree Day, running Pollination Days, Breakfast with the Birds, Birdlip Reserve Walk, Junior Landcare days, a Biodiversity Blitz and a Bird Photography Day to name a few.
