The Doodle Comer Wetlands Nature Reserve is a project to get the community involved in the local environment and the protection of wildlife and endangered ecological communities in the region. Doodle Comers Wetlands is a great location for migratory and local birds (140 species) and will be invaluable in educating local people on the importance of wetlands. Being so close to Henty the wetlands will become a tourist drawcard for the region and the town of Henty. People will have access to the wetlands on foot and are able to cycle from the town which no doubt will improve their health and wellbeing.
