The Bushcare program has been running since 1989 and is one of the largest of its kind in New South Wales. It's a group of volunteers who restore the bushland, helping to create a better natural environment for current and future generations. They work at more than 100 sites across Hornsby Shire, stretching from Epping in the south to Wisemans Ferry in the north and Brooklyn in the east.

The main goal of the Bushcare team is to conserve our unique natural ecosystem, promoting native plants and providing habitat for native animals. They transform weed-infested areas into healthy bushland, allowing the natural bush to bounce back.
