Umbrella group for Landcare and Sustainable Farming in the Great Lakes and Karuah Catchments
Karuah and Great Lakes Landcare provides a community operated integrated “care” network, auspicing local Landcare and Sustainable Farming groups under our incorporation and insurance umbrella. Our goal is to support landholders to protect, maintain and improve our ecological resource base and to achieve healthy, productive farms and gardens in a diverse local agricultural economy.
We help connect our landholder community with each other and with information and resources, and run a regular workshop program.
Working closely with our district network Mid Coast 2 Tops Landcare Connection, Hunter Local Land Services and MidCoast Council, we contribute to improvements in Natural Resource Management in the district, and have partnered in many projects, improving water quality and health and connectivity of bushland areas, feral animal control and weed control, property planning and improved grazing management.
To join our network, get in the loop and get involved, please download a membership form from the link on our MidCoast2Tops home page.
