The Great Lakes Food Trail

Connecting local ethical producers with the community.

Driven by the Topi Topi Sustainable Farming Group and supported by Great Lakes Tourism and Karuah and Great Lakes Landcare, the Great Lakes Food Trail is sharing the great tastes of the Great Lakes by connecting local and ethical producers with the community.

The Great Lakes Food Trail is gearing up for its inaugural Farm Gate Tour over Easter 2017. Get a taste of our beautiful region’s delicious bounty and meet our lovely landholders who share a strong care for land ethic.

Visitors will get to taste local water buffalo milk and mouth-watering mozzarella at the outstanding Burraduc Farm; enjoy locally sourced and produced gourmet meals at the cafes on the trail. The kids will love hand feeding lambs and chickens, collecting eggs and picking fruit. Taste the region’s artisan cheeses, honey, seasonal fruits, sourdough, oysters and wines. Explore the local wares on offer at “Pop Up” Markets. Learn about the principles of Permaculture gardening and ethical farming, straight from the producers themselves.
