You can volunteer with Lake Macquarie Landcare in a variety of ways!

There are many ways you can volunteer, including working at different Landcare sites with the Green Team. The Green Team is a friendly group of people of all ages, who volunteer their time weeding, mulching, planting and more at different Landcare sites! They meet of a morning at the Landcare Resource Centre and all travel to the designated Landcare site for the day. Morning tea and lunch are provided.

Currently the Green Team operates on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursday from 8.00am to 3.30pm. You can also volunteer at the Landcare Resource Office at Teralba. The office is open Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 4.00pm. Volunteers can help out with various duties both inside the buildings and outside in the compound including office work, maintenance and nursery work.

You can also join and volunteer with a Lake Macquarie Landcare group working near you! There are almost 300 Landcare groups in Lake Macquarie - most are small, consisting of one or two people, while some have more than 20 volunteers in their group. We have a list of Lake Macquarie Landcare groups you can join on our website. If you would like to volunteer or would like more information please contact the Landcare Resource Office on 4921 0392 or email lro@lakemac.nsw.gov.au
