Watershed Landcare will be hosting a workshop on Riparian Processes and Vegetation on Friday 25 September. Topics covered include: river processes, erosion and deposition, using vegetation to assist river processes and suitable species for our district.

Grazing for the Future

Landholders from the Central Tablelands Landcare district wanted for a Grazing for the future group We need participants to join our grazing project. Over 12 months you will be introduced to a range of grazing management topics and farm visits. First workshop is on 18th September, and then 3 more including a bus trip to Col Seis’ Gulgong property to see pasture cropping.

Friends of Putta Bucca Wetlands 2015 Photography Competition Exhibition

The Friends of Putta Bucca Wetlands recently held their inaugural Photo Competition. The finalists photos will be showcased at the Artisan Cafe from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 27 September (please note the cafe is closed Mondays & Tuesdays). Head on down for a coffee and check out the amazing photography talent from our region.

Hat Head Dunecare monthly working bee

Hat Head Dune Care meets at the shelter shed in Hat Head caravan park on the third Tuesday of each month at 8 am. We weed and undertake regeneration activities, do track maintenance and clean up litter. Lunch is provided. All welcome!

Watershed Landcare’s Green Day –Soils Sculpture Competition

If your local school is attending Green Day this year, they might also be participating in our Seeing Soils Sculpture Competition. This year all entries will be exhibited at the Sculptures in the Garden exhibition held at Rosby. Your class could also win a cash prize of $400! What’s the task? Construct a sculpture that oozes imagination and celebrates the importance and diversity of soils.

Green Day 2015: Digging Deeper – Seeing our Soils!

Watershed Landcare will be hosting the 7th annual Green Day environmental expo on Thursday 10th September 2015 at Mudgee Showground. Celebrating the United Nations 2015 Year of the Soil, our theme this year is Digging Deeper, where we’re going to learn everything about soils.
