2015 New England North West Landcare Adventure

The Landcare Adventure is a two day event held each year in the New England North West. It brings together landholders and community members from across the region. The event is open to all - including non-members of Landcare, town residents, farmers, government agency staff, schools, community groups & Landcare members and is a great networking opportunity for industry professionals and like-minded people alike. Each year, the event showcases farm tours, leading speakers on environmental + land management issues and skills sessions.

Connecting Rural Women in the Landscape is the focus of a workshop that is being held on Wednesday 29 April. The one-day workshop, specifically designed for rural women will be held at the picturesque Tumut Racecourse in Southern NSW.

Can you pick a Buff-rumped Thornbill from a Striated Thornbill? Do you know what a Brown Treecreeper call sounds like? Want to know some clues to finding Regent Honeyeaters? Ever wanted to do a 2 hectare, 20 minute bird survey in a woodland? Come and join a workshop on woodland bird identification and survey methods!

Hat Head Dunecare monthly working bee

Hat Head Dune Care meets at the shelter shed in Hat Head caravan park on the third Tuesday of each month at 8 am. We weed and undertake regeneration activities, do track maintenance and clean up litter. Lunch is provided. All welcome!
