November is Turtle Month!

Come along to Talkin' Turtle to hear from experts about turtles. Dr Adele Reid and Dr James Van Dyke from Western Sydney University will be talking about turtles and TurtleSAT, while our very own Riverkeeper, Dr Jacinta Green will be talking about the role of the Turtle in improving the health of the Parramatta River.

The talks will feature the scientific team behind TurtleSAT, an App which helps you map the location of freshwater turtles in waterways and wetlands across the country. The TurtleSAT project is being coordinated by Dr. Ricky Spencer at the University of Western Sydney in partnership with a number of landowners, agencies and universities.

An Our Living River event hosted by City of Ryde, Parramatta River Catchment Group and the Ryde Hunters Hill Flora and Fauna Protection Society.

The Parramatta River Riverkeeper is funded through the Local Landcare coordinators initiative, funded by the NSW Government and supported through the partnership of Local Land Services and Landcare NSW.
