Community native plant nursery

Murrumbateman Landcare Group runs a community native plant nursery in Murrumbateman village. Financial members can obtain native plants for their property or garden, for free - the nursery provides everything needed to propagate selected natives. Plants are looked after at the nursery until they are ready to plant out. Note that the nursery is staffed by volunteers and is not a commercial concern. Emails are sent to members advising them of volunteering sessions. If you are interested in volunteering, please read the nursery guide below. The nursery managers can be contacted by email, see link below.

Drone footage of planting

This is the first tranche of a local revegetation project. Roughly half of what is shown (mainly the Leptospermum, Callistemon and Casuarinas) was sourced from the Murrumbateman Nursery. The second and third tranche of planting will include native grasses and river red gums also sourced from the Nursery.
