Joining the Landcare Gateway

How to register a listing on the site.

To obtain a Gateway listing for your group on the NSW Landcare Gateway, we need a few details about your group.  See below "How to register my group on the Gateway".

Once your group is on the Gateway, you will be given editing access which will allow you to upload further material on your site.

We invite the following groups to join the Gateway

  • Landcare groups, Bushcare groups, Coastcare and Dunecare groups and all community groups that are carrying out natural resources management activities in NSW.
  • Groups based in public and private schools carrying out Landcare activities in NSW.
  • Any Not for Profit organisation that is providing support for Landcare activities to the groups mentioned above.

 

What is the NSW Landcare Gateway all about?

The NSW Landcare Gateway provides a platform for Landcare groups in New South Wales to share their stories and upcoming events.  It will also be an important location for the wider community to find out more about Landcare, its activities and local Landcare groups.


Why should our group join the Gateway?

The NSW Landcare Gateway will be of benefit to smaller groups just starting their journey into having an internet presence - where the free hosting, domain name and technical support are of clear benefit.  For those groups that are already actively present on the internet through their own websites, Facebook or Twitter accounts - the NSW Landcare Gateway will provide a valuable web presence to compliment their already existing sites / activities.

Will we be able to edit our group's entries?

Once your group is on the NSW Landcare Gateway - your group will be able to maintain your own up to date contact details, post your latest news and events (will show on the front page of the NSW Gateway Site), build your own photo galleries, share your projects and much more. Your page on the NSW Landcare Gateway is also able to show you Facebook and Twitter feeds and related groups - those Landcare groups and networks that you work with.

How to register my group on the Gateway?

Fill in the details and return to gateway@landcarensw.org.au .

When your group is registered  the contact that you nominate on the form will receive a login email  on the email address nominated on the form. This email will include your user name and a link to set your password.
