On the 9th May Mid Macquarie Landcare hosted a demonstration of the Hollow Hog habitat creation tool at Bodangora in partnership with Mitchell Creek Mining Company.

Willoughby Bushcarers Lend a Helping Hand in Araluen

On Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of March two mini buses from Sydney made the descent into the Araluen Valley. On board were a dozen volunteers from the various Bushcare groups run by Willoughby City Council from the lower north shore in Sydney. These Bushcarers came all the way to Araluen to lend a helping hand to the local Upper Deua Catchment Landcare group (UDCLG) and plant out their new 5ha revegetation demonstration site at the confluence of Majors Creek and Araluen Creek.

Landcare Finds a Home for Nursery Hub at Dargues Gold Mine

On 28 February 2025, Aurelia Metals signed a Licence Agreement with the Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council (Landcare), providing Landcare access to the geology shed and surrounding outdoor areas at its Dargues Mine in Majors Creek to propagate tubestock for regional revegetation projects.

Plant sale, Wamboin, Sat, 15 February 2025

The Gearys Gap/Wamboin Landcare Group will have locally-propagated native plants for sale at the Wamboin community market, 112 Bingley Way, Wamboin, next Saturday 15 February, from 9am to 12pm, or while stocks last. Get in early!

Local Landcare Nurseries Collaborate for a Greener Future

This week, volunteers and staff from the Central Tablelands Local Landcare Nursery, Watershed Landcare Nursery, and Lithgow Community Nursery came together for a successful meeting to share knowledge, and ideas, and learn from each other. This gathering is part of a Regional Project by the Central Tablelands Regional Landcare Network, aimed at fostering collaboration and supporting Landcare efforts across the region.

Highlights from the USLC AGM

The Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council (USLC) hosted their annual gathering on Friday 22 November 2024 at the Braidwood Servicemen's Club. Ten people turned out to the meeting to pass the necessary financials, reports, and vote in the committee for 2025.

Glossies in the Mist planting morning at Penrose 19/11/24

The Glossies in the Mist planting morning at Penrose on the 19th of November, was our first 'official' joint project with Saving our Species with around 20 volunteers helping out! It was also great to have four of the volunteers come along from the Oatley flora and fauna Conservation society. This is the group that played an important role in our first planting day at Pinaroo last year, it is great to see them coming back for more.
