Backyard Habitat for Wildlife

Across the City, native animals become dependent on our backyards to survive when their habitat is damaged or lost. Whether you live in a house, unit, or apartment, by allowing your backyard to become a habitat garden, you are helping the local wildlife. Creating a wildlife-friendly habitat is easy and could be as little as building a birdbath, providing hollow shelter, or planting native shrubs

Saturday 3 - 6 pm, 1 November 2014 There are over 110 birds that nest and/or visit the Field of Mars Wildlife Refuge. This will be family friendly walk and children are welcome to attend with their parents or care givers. From 5 - 6pm a sausage sandwich from the BBQ will be available. Registrations are necessary.
