Making Livestock Decisions Easier
Recognising the ongoing drought conditions in our regions, and the support that producers are seeking, Central West Local Land Services and local Landcare organisations are working together to bring a series of practical Livestock Decision Making workshops to the Central West. The focus of the workshops will be to provide practical tools for planning the coming months - and beyond - with respect to livestock; feeding versus selling, including cashflow; feed and water budgets; and setting clear trigger points for making tough decisions.

Education Tours take on local students’ needs
Each year, hundreds of senior interstate, city and coastal students studying Food Technology, Biology, Agriculture and Earth and Environmental Science attend Mid Lachlan Landcare’s education tours in the Cowra/Canowindra region. Learning the fossil history, land and water uses, the students appear most interested in the sustainable and regenerative practices happening in conjunction with agriculture and food production.
